Chocolate Hazelnut French Toast Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Eggs
  • ¾ - 1 Cup of Milk
  • Butter
  • Salt to Taste
  • Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • Chopped Hazelnuts
  • Sliced Strawberries
  • Powdered Sugar (Optional)

Description

French toast roll-ups have all the same flavors you love but with a more delicate texture and the ability to be filled as you like.

Recipe

  1. Start by flattening each slice of brioche with a rolling pin, as thin as you’d like. If you don’t have a rolling pin, try using a spatula or a flat plate.

  2. Make your batter by whisking your eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt together.  Each slice of brioche gets soaked in the batter until thoroughly coated.

  3. Set your stovetop to high heat and grease a pan with enough butter to coat it.  Once it's heated, cook your French toast slices until they’re crisp. Keep an eye on them- these ones cook quickly.

  4. Once cooked, set them aside to cool for 1-2 minutes. Once they are cool, coat one side of each slice with a chocolate hazelnut spread.

  5. Finish them off by rolling them up, and Bon Appetit!

Plating

  1. Arrange your roll-ups on a plate as desired.

  2. Decorate the dish with strawberry slices and sprinkle your hazelnuts as desired.

  3. Optionally, coat them with a touch of powdered sugar.
