  • Cranberries
  • Maple Syrup

Description

This tart and tangy riff on French toast is sure to be a new favorite. Rich, fluffy brioche, bright fruits, and sweet syrup are an excellent pairing.

Recipe

  1. Start by cutting your brioche loaf into even slices.

  2. Make a quick batter by whisking your eggs, milk, and salt together.  Each slice of brioche gets soaked in the batter until thoroughly coated.

  3. While your brioche is soaking, take the time to cut up some orange slices, and zest the remainder into a small bowl.

  4. Set your stovetop to medium-high heat and grease a pan with enough butter to coat it.  Once it's heated, cook your French toast for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.

  5. Let your French toast cool for 1-2 minutes and you’re ready for plating.

Plating

  1. Stack 2-3 French toast slices, sprinkling a bit of orange zest on top of each slide.

  2. Once fully stacked, drizzle with maple syrup and top with your fruit pieces.
