Sugar Dusted Brioche with Jam & Cream
5 - 10 minutes
- Authentic Braided Brioche (Ref. 51588)
- Granulated Sugar (Caster Sugar)
- Blackberry Jam
- Clotted Cream
- Assorted Fruits (Optional)
For those who don't know, clotted cream is a thick cream made from heavy cream. It has the consistency of butter but the flavor is almost like that of whipped cream. You can use any jam you like for this brioche. Because of the sugar sprinkled over it, we recommend using a less sugar or no sugar jam. Optionally, you can put your brioche in the oven for a few minutes after sprinkling it with sugar. It'll make the loaf warm and toasted, and it will begin to caramelize the sugars on top. If you don't want to wait that long (and own a kitchen torch) fire away and watch the magic like its a brioche crème brûlée.
